far= something in a picture that looks farther away

leap/jump= controlled bounce

near= something in a picture that looks close

secondary colors= purple, orange, and green

Activity:  Have the students write all the words and definitions in a separate notebook for later study.  Be sure to clarify each word.  The students will then make a picture book of all the definitions.  For each page have the students draw a picture of the definition happening, or something that represents the definition to them.  Encourage them to be creative.  Have them write the word on each page.  Help the students make covers for their books and bind them (with staples, yarn, etc.).  Allow the students to share the books with their parents.

Note:  Students will be able to add more words to their notebooks as they learn more throughout the year.
