MATH BULLETIN BOARD

Our bulletin board would be about math.  On the bottom of the board there will be math problems that the students can go back and work on.  There will be problems on top of a paper that can be flipped for help to solve the problem.  Every two weeks we will change out the problems for the problems we are working on at the time.

On the left side, we will display a calendar.  There will be a pocket for a little bear that can be Velcro to the calendar for students to interact.  On the bottom of the calendar, there will be pockets for questions about the calendar (ex.  How many days is it until the 14th?).

On the right side, we will have pockets for blank paper for the students to write their own math problems.  Underneath the paper, the teacher will use some of the problems created for other students to solve.

In the middle, we would have a section where there would be activities that the students would be able to do.  Some examples are:  a problem using teddy bear manipulative, flash cards, using math blocks, etc.

On the top we would have a riddle about math.  Anyone that could solve the riddle would receive a small candy.  The riddle would be changed out about every week.

Above the riddle we would have ÒMath:  a fun adventureÓ written on the board.

Throughout the board, we would a maze that ran from one project to another.  This would be in a different color to stand out from the board.
