Center

This center will focus on the concept of condensation. At the center there will be glass cups. The students will feel the cups and determine whether it is wet or dry. The students will fill the cups with ice, and then add cold water to the cup. Next they will evaluate the cup again and determine if it feels wet or dry and hot or cold. The student’s will then go back to their desks and write what they think is going to happen to the glass cup (Max. 5 minutes). After they have written their hypothesis they will return to the center and observe the glass cup. By then the condensation will have formed on the outside of the glass. The students will write below their hypothesis what they observe now. What is different? Where did the water come from?
