Center Idea

Description: The center will be in a small section of the classroom. We’ll have money placed all over the areas of the center: the walls, small placemats for each students, etc. In this area we’ll also have a TV, books, other supplies and resources we’ll need.

Activities: The students will be able to write a short story about what they would do with a hundred dollars; they’ll be able to see all the money around them. They’ll share these stories with each other. One student will be the “big” dollar bill and all the other students will the change. There will also be movies to watch and books to read. The students will stay on their placemat throughout the center time, so they’re not running all over.
