Math
Group Book
Report Idea:
For a third grade math book report
we thought a fun thing to do that will help the children learn the best
would
be to read the book, and pick out numbers from the book, (hopefully
fractions
and decimals, since that is our subject) and we would then have them
compile a
collage of pictures from a magazine representing the fractions in which
they
have chosen. For example if a child picks a fraction like 2/3, then
they will
pick those numbers out of a book and find pictures that represent it,
like 2
green frogs and one black one. That would make three frogs and two are
green so
2/3. We think that would help the children to understand more clearly
on what
fractions are trying to represent. It would be hands-on and also
integrate reading.
