Math Dictionary Strategy

As a class we will create a mystery math box. The student’s will compile terms they don’t understand, write them on a 3X5 card and put them in the box. Before each lesson, the teacher will discuss the unfamiliar terms found in the box that relate to the lesson being taught. A variation is you could have students try and define or explain to their classmates.
