Decoding for Math

1.    One way to help the students learn their vocabulary and use decoding is by helping them with pronunciation of the words.  We are always taught how to do problems in Math and to learn the vocabulary, but sometimes it is hard to even recognize words if the students do not know how to pronounce the words.

2.    Another way to help with decoding is through morphemic analysis.  This is when the students go through the syllables of a word and analyze the meanings of the syllables.  Through this the students can hopefully break down a word they do not understand, define, and then understand what it means.
