Authentic Assessments
1. Students could create a visual summary of a book they have read during the school year using Hyperstudio.
2. Students could choose five of their favorite books they have read over the year and write a page about each book to place in a end of the year portfolio.
3. Students could create their own picure book in a writing/art assignment by acting as a famous illustrator and author of their favoite book. Students would create their own pictures based on the book and would explain what is going on in their pictures. Then, students would read their created picture book to classmates.
4. Students could create a poster on their favorite book they have read over the year by putting together a visual collage based on the book. The collage could consist of pictures from magazines, drawn pictures, writing summaries, etc.
