      Chemical Reaction:  The process that involves rearrangement of the molecular or ionic structure of a substance, as opposed to a change in physical form or nuclear reaction.

      Compass:  Direction finder, a device for finding directions, usually with a magnetized needle that automatically swings to magnetic north.

      Heat:  The quality of being hot; high temperature.

      Liquid:  Flowing substance, a substance in a condition in which it flows, that is a fluid at room temperature and atmospheric pressure and whose shape but not volume cannot be changed.

      Magnetic Force:  Energy or physical action or movement caused by properties of exhibiting magnetism.

    Pathway:  A sequence of biochemical reactions involved in a metabolic process.

      Physical Change:  The change or becoming different of the Earth’s surface.

      Solid:  A substance that resists moderate stress and deformation, unlike a liquid or a gas.

     Substance:  A particular kind of matter with uniform properties.

      Volcano:  A naturally occurring opening in the surface of the Earth through which molten, gaseous, and solid materials is ejected.

      Weight:  A body’s relative mass or the quantity of matter contained by it, giving rise to a downward force, the heaviness of a person or thing.
