Hands-On Aids

1. For an activity, the teacher will pick out some miscellaneous items. The teacher will put it in a paper bag and close it. The students will then guess what the item is. They will write down descriptive words explaining what the item is. They will also write what they think it is. The students will share with the class. After everyone had a chance to guess, the teacher will pull out the item to see if they were right.

2. Together as a class, the students will make up a game just like scrabble. They will be assigned in groups with a dictionary. They will use the dictionary to find different words and their meanings while playing the game.
