1.               2Have the students create their own story problems after each chapter using the tools they have gained.  This can be put into a binder or a portfolio.  The students then must solve the story problems and show their work.

 

2.               After a unit the students can look at their work and discover a Òreal life applicationÓ for the work they have been doing.  They can then share the ideas by drawing a picture, writing a paragraph, or objects.
