- Create a Bulletin board that will be
for math terms students are struggling with. Allow the students to define the words in their
“jargin” so they understand the concept!
- Use a “Freebie Book” in the room
someplace and have students write the definitions of math terms that apply
to current section. Students
may use this book once on the test to remember what a word means and how
it can be used.
- There is always the boring old student
notebook which they can keep in their desk or in their bags upon which
they can write the words and what they mean!
- Find a time when students can review
the section and the new terms.
In groups have them appoint a scribe and secretary for the group
journal. Here they may write
the terms they do not understand or need more information on. When review comes, collect the
journals and make questions from those words and concepts!
