COMPREHENSION STRATEGY

Put the students in groups and ask them to close there eyes and think to themselves what it would be like to be Anne Frank and not be able to leave the place where they were living. What feelings would you have? What would you miss? Would you be afraid or angry? Then ask them to share one of the following questions with their group:

1. What would you do to try to make the time go by quickly?

2. How would you feel if you couldn’t play with your friends?

3. What activity would you miss the most if you couldn’t leave your house?

4. What do you think was the hardest part for Anne Frank?
