Strategies:
- The
students will build a house of understanding by using vocabulary for the
course. The students will have one
piece of paper where they will draw a house starting with the door. In the door they will choose a vocabulary
word that they don’t know yet and write its definition with it. Every
day the class meets, the student will draw another portion of the house
and write one more word in it.
- The
teacher or students will place vocabulary words around the classroom and
pictures or symbols that relate next to them. This will allow the student to become
familiar with the words along with their meanings.
