Biography

Originally from Colorado, Eric has lived in Utah most of his life, growing up in Vernal, Utah before moving to the Wasatch Front to attend college at Weber State University in Ogden, Ut. where he completed a B.A. in English and Political Science. He moved north to Logan, Utah after graduating from Weber State to attend Utah State University where he completed his M.A. in American Studies.

Upon completion of his M.A., he started teaching English composition and humanities at SUU where he has remained since. His academic interests vary, but fall nicely in line with the English 2010 themes he teaches: Literature and Film of the Vietnam War, Utopian/Dystopian Literature and Film, The Rhetoric of Satire and Humor, and Environmental Issues.

Mountain biking and cheering on the Pittsburgh Steelers are two of his extra-curricular activities of note. The singletrack biking trails in Southern Utah are absolutely amazing.
