Why so much reading?

Can you guess? If not see the official class quotes on the bulletin board!

Aren't all these books going to get expensive?

They might. So look in your local library first to see if you can borrow the books you need. If you need to buy any of the novels from the bookstore, you'll find the prices quite low because paperback editions are available for all but one of the choices. Be sure to look for a used copy to keep your costs even lower.
