Experience the 20th Anniversary 2008 GHASunday, June 22, 2008
Quote of the Day 20th Anniversary TriviaWhat is the average sleep per night of GHA Counselors? Videos from the Day:
Knowledge is PowerHere are a few quotes from todays speakers: Dr. James Harrisontalked about the difference between being trained and being educated. He discussed the humanities and how they impact everyone. He quoted Dead Poet's Society "Medicine, Business, these are noble pursuits, but poetry, music, love, these are the things we live for". He encouraged everyone to remember the humanities and the arts. "Someone once said, 'A mind that has been stretched by a new idea never goes back to it original dimensions. That is what I hope for you, that your minds will all be stretched.' GHA Bloggers of the Day:What has been your favorite part of GHA?My favorite part of GHA so far was the ultimate steal the flag. So far I would have to say that my favorite thing has been the hike at Bryce Canyon National Park. Even though it was really hot and I got caked in dirt, it was a lot of fun. We all bonded so much as we kept one another from falling off the cliffs. The views were absolutely spectacular even through I didn't dare to look at them for more than five seconds for fear that I would trip and fall to my death. It was one of the great experiences that I have had here while at GHA and I am really glad that we were able to go. My favorite part of GHA is teh speakers. I think that they are the most important part of GHA. I enjoy listening to what they have to say. They give lots of great information and advice.
