This exciting program will explore urban and natural landscapes in and around New York City. Participants will experience a wide range of activities including museums and sea coasts, subways and ferrries, sidewalks and hiking trails. Seminars will include a wide range of topics including biology, geology, history, and government as groups visit such diverse NPS sites as Sagamore Hill, Jamaica Bay, and Ellis Island. This project will inlcude an excursion on board a 19th century oyster sloop as well as a behind the scenes look at Ellis Island and a instruction from the curator at a prominent New York museum.
