EQUIPMENT
The average temperature in this area in March is 62 degrees Fahrenheit, with
a daily range of around 50 to 75. However, the record low is 23 degrees, record
high is 87 – check your 10-day forecast before you leave home and pack
accordingly! An average annual rainfall of 55 inches is well distributed throughout
the year. Layers are the best idea – short-sleeved T-shirts with sweater,
wind-breaker/rain jacket, hoodie, etc. You will need long pants and long-sleeved
shirts to protect your ankles and arms and sturdy, water resistant hiking
boots (with backup in case they do get wet).
