ACCOMMODATIONS

Depending on flight times and other intricacies of travel, some participants will probably need to stay one or two nights in Gunnison Colorado before and/or after the program.

To simplify things and assist in transportation we are suggesting 3 hotel/motels which are in close proximity to the campus, and all in easy walking distance to several restaurants (actually everything in Gunnison is within easy walking distance).  Our shuttle will come to each of these hotels on Sunday morning (August 4) around 8:30 AM in order to get everyone to the first program event on W Mountain.

There are a number of other hotels and motels in Gunnison and participants are welcome to stay in any of them.  A fairly comprehensive list can be found at the Gunnison-Crested Butte Tourism Association website (www.gunnisoncrestedbutte.com).  Anyone staying in a hotel other than our suggested locations must arrange for their own transportation to campus (there is no taxi or city bus service in Gunnison).  Crested Butte is located 28 miles north of Gunnison and while there is a free town to town bus service, you will be responsible for being at one of the 4 designated pick-up locations  in Gunnison by 8:30 am on August 4.

At the conclusion of the program, August 10, we will get everyone back to the hotel of their choice and will also arrange for transportation to the Gunnison/Crested Butte Airport.
