Bryce Canyon National Park lies in the heart of southern Utah's amazing red rock country. The park was created to protect the unique canyons, spires, and hoodoos that grace this geologic masterpiece. University faculty and park rangers will lead indepth seminars making the park and its environs a living laboratory for study. Topics will include: geology, fire management, photography, endangered species, archeology, environmental psychology, and astronomy. Participants will be camping and cooking in a NPS site with water and restroom faciltities. The experience will include one over night backpacking excursion into the beautiful Bryce Canyon backcountry.
