The Grand Canyon-Parashant National Monument is a large, rugged, wilderness covering more than 1 million acres between the Colorado River and UT/AZ border. There are no services within the Monument and the only access is via dirt roads, from Nevada, Utah, and Arizona. The monument protects important Colorado Plateau watershed as well as historical, cultural, and natural treasures. SUU honors faculty will lead this primitive adventure into one of the least visited parks in the lower 48.

Though much of the project will be high adventure hiking/camping we will have access to an NPS/BLM field station on Mt. Trumbull providing water and bathroom facilities. This will be a wild and primitive adventure recommended for students/faculty with previous outdoor experience.
