Virgin Islands National Park is breathtaking and exquisite, from its inland hills and valleys, to the beaches and underwater coral reef. Found on St. John Island, the park covers 7,000+ acres of land and 5,650 acres of underwater coral reef. The Park employees work to learn more about the delicate ecosystem found in the park, preserving fragile coral reef in the process. The island itself contains traces of the previous peoples and civilizations that lived on it - from the introduction of non-native plant species to the petroglyphs left by the native Taino people.
