Applying to the Honors Program
Qualifications
The Honors Program is open to new freshmen, sophomores, juniors, and seniors. Admittance to the Honors Program is a prerequisite for registering for honors courses. Priority deadline for applying to the SUU Honors Program is February 1. Additional applications will be accepted until the program is filled.
Applicants should:
- Have earned at least a 3.5 high school grade point average, AND
- Have received a 26 composite ACT score or 1200 SAT score.
- Have placed in the top 25% of their graduating class
The SUU Honors Program recognizes that not all potential honors students score highly on standardized tests or meet these general requirements. We encourage all students with a passion for learning and a desire to participate in the program to apply.
