Field School Information

Locations:
The first two and a half weeks will be spent excavating a pioneer fort in Cedar City, UT.  The next two and a half weeks will be spent working at a prehistoric Pueblo site in Kanab, UT. 
Dates:
First SUU Summer Session: May 26 to June 30,2009

Cost:
Total cost $1,378. This amount includes SUU summer session tuition and fees for six semester credit hours ($1,228 ) plus a fee of $150.00 for food, lodging and transportation for the 2 1/2 weeks we're in Kanab. Students are responsible for providing their own lodging and meals while in Cedar City (contact the directors if you need help finding lodging for those 2 1/2 weeks), and their weekend meals in Kanab. Non- SUU students will also need to pay the $40.00 SUU Admission application fee. Student s are responsible for any transportation costs to Cedar City.

Participation:
No previous experience required. The school is intended primarily for undergraduate students. Students must meet SUU admission requirements as outlined in the catalog. Graduate students may enroll subject to the approval of the faculty of the program in which they are regularly enrolled. Persons who do not want college credits may enroll as an audit. Audit charges are the same as those assessed for credit enrollment. All enrollments in the program must be for the full five weeks.
