The Speech and Presentation Center offers students

• Personalized assistance with projects at any stage of the speech development process, from generating ideas and topics to delivering the presentation
• Feedback tailored to oral communication assignments required by instructors across disciplines
• Help in developing strategies for revision and enhancement
• Support in helping to manage speech anxiety (speech apprehension)
• Assistance in effective delivery including body language, expression, eye contact, gestures, notes and visual aids
• Assistance and advice on the preparation and use of visual aids
• An understanding of ethical and responsible speech
• A non-threatening, supportive location to practice speeches out loud, but in private
• An opportunity to experience the Virtual Reality Therapy (VRT) in order to reduce communication apprehension
