"In March 2006 several English students (me, Rodney Staton, Davey Stevenson, Alison Allen, and Marty Barrett) went to a conference in Colorado Springs. Four of us presented and I submitted my paper after the conference, and it was published in the proceedings. The SISSI conference (Society for the Interdisciplinary Study of Social Imagery) was themed around the image of power this year. My paper was listed under the literature section, titled "Power in Meaning and Difference in Mike Carey's 'Lucifer'." I had a great time at the conference, and am glad that we could represent our university."
