A bloody fight, a raging war
This conflict hurts us to the core
Young and old this fight engaging
On and on the battle’s raging
Why this anger? We implore
For freedom’s cause it is our chore
Midnight raids the troops are staging
While back home their mothers aging
Loved ones die on distant shores
The battle cry comes to our doors.
