The Wolves' Song

There comes a time when the wolves greatly cry,

To the full moon rising to midnight light,

With heads turned their voices flow to the sky,

And you stare in wonderment at the sight,

The stars twinkle their bright calm bow,

To where the wolves stood upon that hill,

To reply them louder came the wolves’ howl,

Now you sit upon that stone ever still,

The wolves howl in a simple low calm tune,

As the song started to slowly wane,

The midnight light was facing from the moon

And the wolves left from whence they came,

Now the sun rises in the moon’s place,

The wolves’ song now dances upon your face.
