Find the building map of the Sharwan Smith Center

When you arrive:

• You’ll be picking up your conference packets either Friday evening at the Writing Center Clue game in the upper quad Braithwaite Center (#5 on the campus map linked below) OR Saturday morning in the lower quad’s Sharwan Smith Center (#37 on the campus map), where we will breakfast and lunch in the second level Starlight Room. Since parking is not restricted after 5 p.m. Friday or anytime Saturday, you may leave your vehicle in any of the parking lots accessible from either side of University Boulevard (again, please see the map attached below).
• Since the Sharwan Smith Center is on the lower end (west) of campus and the buildings where the Friday night Clue event and the Saturday presentations will be held are on the eastside upper quad--the Braithwaite Center (#5 on the map) and the Emma Eccles Jones Education Building (#14), you will have to hike a bit, but it is quite a short walk-about five minutes. Of course, you can always move your vehicle if you wish.
  The most convenient parking for the Sharwan Smith Center can be found in the lots immediately to the north of the center, accessible by turning south from University Boulevard . Other possibilities can be found in the lots directly across (turn north on Boulevard) from the Center. there are crosswalks, but be careful. There are no lights, and not all drivers realize that they are supposed to stop.
• For upper quad parking, the most convenient spot is the Auditorium parking lot (the Auditorium is #4 on the campus map), also accessible by turning south from University Boulevard. Past visitors to campus, will recognize the Auditorium as the venue near the Shakespearean Festival’s outdoor theatre. There is also another lot directly across the Boulevard, and that lot almost always has room. There are traffic control lights and crosswalks a half block east.

Just for directors:

• Directors, parking may be more of a challenge on Friday afternoon as you seek our RMWCA meeting in the Sharwan Smith Center room Zion A&B. Feel free to leave your vehicle in any student or faculty lot where space is available. Please take note of the position of your vehicle, and, if you wish, we can send a tutor runner to place a visitor’s placard in your vehicle after you arrive. If you want to avoid walking, there often is metered parking available directly north of the Sharwan Smith Center, and I can send tutors to keep those meters fed with quarters.
