Writing Center

Electronic Writing Assistant

(available weekdays to current SUU Composition Students)

It's easy! Just send us an e-mail to writingcenter@suu.edu telling us what your ENGL 1010 or 2010 assignment is. Specify three or four specific questions or concerns you have about the paper.

Please don't forget to let us know the course and professor's name.

Then attach your paper as a Word document. (Don't use MSWorks because we won't be able to read your paper.)

We'll respond to your questions within 48 (weekday) hours if we receive your paper Monday-Friday. (One note of caution: If you mail the paper to us Friday, we may have your paper back to you as late as Tuesday.)

  • Please Note: the Electronic Writing Assistant doesn't work well with papers LONGER THAN FIVE PAGES or with extensive EDITING and GRAMMAR problems. However, we're happy to help you in the Writing Center with long papers or with grammar questions. Make an appointment by calling the center (865-8176).
  • Another Writing Center service, "The Grammar Doctor" can offer you tips on specific editing problems.

We're sorry, but we can't offer our electronic tutoring or our grammar doctor service during school holidays or on weekends.
