The SUU English Department presents its annual Creative Writing Conference and Contest for High School Students
Exploring the New Frontiers of Creative Writing.
March 30th 2011, at Southern Utah University's Hunter Conference Center
This year SUU will offer serious high school writers who are juniors and seniors the opportunity to participate in small hands-on workshops conducted by publishing writers. High schools in the region are invited to bring students who win honors in our annual high school writing contest to the conference, as well as up to 15-18 other students. This promises to be an exciting event for young local authors.
Along with the conference, The Write Stuff will invite students from 10th through 12th grades to participate in our annual creative writing conference. Entries must be submitted by March 9th (winners will be announced March 16th). For information about how to submit, see Step One below. Winners of the 10th grade contests may join the juniors and seniors in attending the conference, even though the contest is focused on 11th- and 12th-grade students this year.
