The Legal Studies Student Association works with the university’s Legal Studies Program and its director to hold events, activities, and meetings to support the academic and career goals of pre-law and Paralegal Studies students. Membership is open to any student interested in law. The group is organized through the Southern Utah University Student Association (SUUSA).

Activities of the organization include:

• Volunteer Work at the Free Legal Clinic of Utah Legal Services
• Intramural Mock Trial and Moot Court Competition
• LSAT Study Groups
• Charitable Projects (such as collecting books for children at the Canyon Creek Women’s Crisis Center and making duffle bags for foster children)
• Law School Admissions Workshop
• Law-related Speakers
• Field Trips (such as travel to University of Utah Law School Fair, Utah Supreme Court, etc.)
• Awards to Recognize Outstanding Legal Studies Students
• SUUSA Activities (such as homecoming, club fair, etc.)

Interested students may link to the association’s application form at Legal Studies Student Association Interest Form and submit it to the program director/club advisor at her office in Room 406 of the General Classroom Building.
