SUU Psychology Requirements for the Major
A total of at least 37 credits with a grade of “C-“ or better is required for a MAJOR in psychology. No more than 12 lower division credit hours (100 or 200 level courses) may be counted toward the major. PSY 4890 internship does not count toward the major. Exceptions to these requirements must receive departmental approval. Students are encouraged to work closely with an Academic Advisor to plan their psychology program.
Students may select an area of emphasis for their major: Biological Psychology; Clinical/Counseling Psychology; Developmental Psychology; Human Services Psychology; Social/Environmental Psychology. The specific requirements for each emphasis are available from the Psychology Department.
