Troubleshooting

Often times Apple-Macs have issue with the certificate. You may need to manually download and install the certificate. Download the certificate to your desktop or thumbdrive. Right click and choose "Save As" or "Save Link As" to save the file to your computer or it will not download properly.
  1. Click the Apple icon and then open System Preferences.
  2. Open Network preferences.
  3. Click on AirPort.
  4. Click the Advanced button.
  5. Click the 802.1X tab.
  6. Verify the settings as shown. You may need to add a user profile. You should also remove user profiles that are incorrect or unused using the minus button. Enter your username and password. Ensure that only PEAP is checked and that the network and security type are correct.
  7. Click configure trust. Select the + button.
  8. Verify suu-acs1.suuad.suu.edu is in the trusted certificate field. If not you will need to add it. Drag the certificate file from your desktop onto the certificate box to install it or click the + button. Click Ok. You may be prompted to enter your Mac username and password to add the certificate.
  9. Click Ok and then Apply.
