Neal Mason grew up in South Jordan, Utah. As a senior majoring in Political Science and minoring in Chemistry, Neal is working on pre-requisites for medical school. After serving an LDS mission in Italy, Neal earned an Associate of Science degree from Snow College, where he met his wife Brittlyn. Between semesters, Neal has edited citations for the Joseph Smith Papers Project and conducted policy research for the Institute of Policy Analysis at SUU, researching topics such as Medicaid eligibility, rural broadband access, environmental litigation, and green energy. Neal loves being involved in the school and community. To this end he has volunteered time at Southern Utah Homecare & Hospice, coached athletes from Bingham High School for Special Olympics Utah, judged high school debate tournaments for UHSAA, and currently serves in a variety of student organizations on campus. Neal has served on the Executive Council for the Michael O. Leavitt Center for Politics and Public Service since 2011. Neal enjoys working on his grandpa’s ranch, camping, playing soccer, hiking, and reading.
