"As an intern in my office, you will have the opportunity to see first-hand the workings of a congressional office and observe the political process in action. Responsibilities include: attending Senate hearings; assisting legislative assistants with research on specific projects; responding to constituent mail; and tracking legislation. You will also help sort mail, meet and greet constituents, answer telephones and work on other projects as needed. To be an intern, you should be able to work in a demanding environment and have excellent writing and communications skills. Being able to work as part of a team is essential." Sen. Orrin G. Hatch
