Service

“Volunteerism” Working cooperatively with the university, community, and other entities, the Leavitt Center provides students with meaningful opportunities by participating in committees, events, organizations, and service projects. Such selfless service engenders the spirit of sacrifice and concern needed for individuals to develop as effective and moral leaders.

Public Service

Public service is more than traditional humanitarian work. The Leavitt Center serves as a hub for students interested in helping to organize events, sit on committees, and assist organizations on and off campus in what might be classified as "mini-internships."

This kind of volunteerism provides a much-needed service and enhances students' education experience on a more local and hands-on level.

Humanitarian Projects

Traditional humanitarian service is inspired by the spirit of concern and sacrifice that all leaders, to be truly effective, must possess. The Leavitt Center hosts a number of such projects and can help concerned citizens find even more opportunities to serve.
