This summer a collection of ceramics by J. Daniel Murphy will be on display in the Braithwaite Fine Arts Gallery, on the campus of Southern Utah University. The exhibit will run from Thursday, May 11th through Saturday, June 24th. Mr. Murphy is a brilliant potter and eminent ceramic artist. His work encompasses a variety of techniques, materials, textures and forms. Murphy has a mastery of firing techniques, a surprising power to manipulate form and scale, and a capacity to exploit the full expressive range of the medium. As an artist, Murphy says that he “feels a connection to contemporary as well as ancient ceramics, and strives to create objects that will withstand the test of time.”

The Braithwaite Fine Arts Gallery is open Tuesday-Saturday from Noon-7:00pm. The gallery is located on the ground floor in the Braithwaite Liberal Arts Center building on the east end of the beautiful SUU campus. Free Admission.
