Salt Lake City Graphic Design firm presents Art Insights

The SUU Department of Art and Design will feature the founders of H theory, a Salt Lake City graphic design firm, is this weeks Art Insights presentation Thursday, October 12th at 7 p.m. in the J.L. Sorenson Physical Education Building, room 101. They will present “Design: the art of solutions,” a presentation of three case studies on the approach taken for making visual solutions that were strategically inspired.

H theory is a graphic design and marketing agency specializing in visual solutions that are strategically driven. Their efforts have developed, repositioned, and refreshed brands by understanding the boundaries of their business and the environments in which they operate.

Established in 2001, H theory was began with two partners, Christian Hansen and Steve Hansen, who will be presenting this weeks presentation and have no known relation yet, with a desire to contradict the excessive nature and inefficiencies of large firms. Their philosophy is to provide small firm attentiveness with large firm support. They still hold this philosophy today, with a track record of successful case studies and design awards including Best of Show–American Institute of Graphic Artist, Utah Addys, and Print Design Annual.

Art Insights is a weekly program hosted during the Fall and Spring semesters by the Art and Design faculty. Art Insights brings professionals from many different fields of the visual art world to Cedar City. Admission is free, and the general public is invited to attend.
