The current realities of the American economy have fueled a nationwide evaluation of all things money, including equitable pay scales for the higher-ups in both public and private industry. On this topic, Southern Utah University’s visiting Eccles Scholar Dr. Robert Pichler will present a lecture entitled “Executive Compensation and Ethics” on Thursday, September 30, at 11:30 a.m. in the Sterling R. Church Auditorium within SUU’s Student Center.

Dr. Pichler is the head of the Institute for Financial Management and the MBA Director at the University of Applied Sciences, SUU’s sister school in Vienna, Austria. He holds advanced degrees from universities in Austria and the United States and teaches classes in international business, cross-cultural leadership and organizational behavior.

Pichler has won awards such as Outstanding Professor (2007) and the Citation for Excellence Award, and promises an engaging discussion in Thursday’s lecture.

In addition to his academic successes, Pichler also has private sector experience as an export manager at Baxter AG, an internal consultant for AEGON USA and product manager at Hernstein Management Institute.

This event will be presented as a bonus convocation for students enrolled in the Convocation Lecture Series.
