Valentine's Day looms, are you still searching for that unique memento to give the special person in your life?

Ceramics Guild MugThink of shopping for them at the SUU Ceramics Guild’s Annual Valentine’s Sale, this Tuesday and Wednesday, in the Living Room of the Sharwan Smith Student Center. The sale, which runs from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. on February 12 and 13, is open to the general public.

Give your sweetheart a beautiful keepsake created by the talented members of SUU’s Ceramics Guild who have made a diverse array of functional and decorative gift items and tableware, including tea pots, platters, lidded containers, bowls and mugs. All items are finished with food-safe glazes that do not contain lead. So whether your special person is a foodie or just wants to snuggle up with a cup of hot chocolate, you are sure to find something they will love.

As in years past, all proceeds from the event go towards sending Guild members to the National Council on Education for the Ceramic Arts annual conference, scheduled to be held this coming March in Houston, Texas.

The work of SUU’s Ceramics Guild will also be featured as a part of “Soup for Your Bowl, Art for Your Soul,” an event sponsored by Artisans Art Gallery which is scheduled for Saturday, February 23, from 6–9 p.m.. Bowls created by local potters as well as those created by members of the Ceramics Guild will available at that event, and soup, bread, dessert and beverages will be included in the $20 advance ticket price (or $25 at the door). For more information, contact Artisans Art Gallery at 435-586-4850.

Up your game from last year's box of chocolates and give a gift that will not only last, but will be well used and loved. Shop for your valentine at the Ceramics Guild’s Valentine Sale.
