Lady T-Birds Wanted for Annual Powder Puff Football

As the weather begins to cool, excited whispers blow through Southern Utah University campus—Homecoming is on its way. And we are beginning now to prepare ourselves for the myriad of activities that will be happening from October 7-12, beginning with Powder Puff Football sign ups.

All T-Birds gals are invited to participate in this time-honored event on October 9, but the date to sign up is even sooner, Wednesday, September 25. With only 50 vacancies on the roster, girls are asked to sign up early.

“This is one of the most popular Homecoming traditions,” stated Molly Cosby, event director for SUU Student Association. “The Powder Puff game is always a packed event and is a great way to play on the turf with all of your peers, and show this school how tough Lady T-Birds really are.”

The game will have two teams with 25 girls on each. You may sign up as an individual or with a group, but only the first 50 ladies will be accepted. Participating in the event is free and all participants must sign waivers.  

Lady T-Birds will get rough and tumble in this annual Powder Puff Football Game, so if you think you can compete with the best of them, sign up by Wednesday, September 25 by contacting Molly Cosby via email.
