Southern Utah University Extends Partnership with adidas

Athletics and adidas logoSouthern Utah University today announced it has entered into a 7-year partnership extension with adidas.

“adidas has provided a first class partnership over the last 14 years,” SUU director of athletics Jason Butikofer said. “The ability to elevate our relationship in a way that significantly impacts our student-athletes is paramount to our current priorities. It is with great gratitude that I take this opportunity to thank adidas for their continued support; I look forward to continuing to build our partnership for years to come.”

With the new all-school deal, the Portland, Ore., based company will be the official athletic footwear, apparel, equipment and accessory brand of the Thunderbirds through the 2023-24 season. In addition to all 17 intercollegiate athletic Thunderbird teams, adidas will also provide apparel and accessories for coaches and athletic staff.

“This partnership extension is a great opportunity for adidas to continue our collaborative efforts with Southern Utah Athletics and to assist them with their commitment to excellence in athletics at the Division I level,” said, Jim Murphy, director of NCAA Sports Marketing at adidas America. “Our mission is to help athletes perform better and we’re looking forward to building on the momentum of our existing partnership, providing the Thunderbirds with our most innovative footwear, apparel and equipment, and elevating Southern Utah Athletics across the nation.”
