At our meeting this evening we accomplished a lot, and came to some decisions that will allow us to move forward on our current project. We finalized a list of programs to include with our open CD, which is once again under way. That list can be found here. The goal for the open CD is to have it ready to release by November 1st, in time for our internet security presentation, which is now set for November 9th at 6:30. In addition to the software we plan on including on the open CD, we've set aside a portion of the CD, which will allow the user to boot into a customized Linux setup. Tom is currently working on the live CD.
In that same meeting we decided that we are in need of stronger advertising. Brady has agreed to create two flier templates for us, one grayscale and the other color. If everything goes to plan these fliers will go out a week from Monday, advertising our weekly Linux seminars, our Internet Security Presentation and if all goes well our bi-monthly LAN party. We have in the past held LAN parties and would like to host something that occurs more frequently and more importantly, something that occurs regularly. We came up with some ideas for games to play.
