Virgin River Gorge
November 2nd, 2002
Dr. Fred stopped with
the group to look at the Virgin anticline and some valley fill
basalts (on the skyline, right center of photo). The group looks
like they might be looking for a warm and happy place!
Just another day in the
field. Garrett has managed to get the van stuck, much to the entertainment
of his passengers.
The amused onlookers just
can't believe what they are seeing.
Exchange student Tsuko
is soaking up all that good desert sun. There sure isn't anything
quite like this in Japan!
Tauna soaks up a little
dry heat down on the Beaver Dam slope.
Thinking deep thoughts,
our field trip leader also enjoys a little warm solitude. Thanks
to him for a great day trip.
