About PAC

PAC is an official SUU professional development club. The Professional Accountancy Club provides networking opportunities and training through interaction with prospective employers. Recruiters including big 4 CPA firms, smaller CPA firms, government and local entities, come to SUU from various western states. Events include guest speakers, dinner socials with firms, and trips to Las Vegas and Salt Lake City to visit firms. PAC seeks to engender professionalism and ethics through service, activities, and leadership opportunities. The Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program is run by PAC every year. Members voluntarily do hundreds of income tax returns for low income residents of Cedar City.

Students are encouraged to join PAC during their junior year. Employers like to have several years to get to know students and watch their academic progress. Early and continuous exposure to employers opens doors for internships and employment.

Please visit the wall display on the 1st floor of the business building and the website. Both are updated regularly and include a fall events calendar, contact information, pictures, and financial statements. Reminders of future events and job opportunities are emailed to members, posted on boards around the business building, and posted on the web site and in the 1st floor wall display. You can contact the executive council at SUUPAC@mail2world.com.

Club fees are $25 per semester or $40 for both semesters. The PAC Club Advisor is Professor Barnes.
