Mission
Statement
The purpose of the
SUU Student Reading Council is to encourage the study of
reading problems at all educational levels; to stimulate and
promote research in reading; to study the various factors
that influence reading progress; to assist in the
development of more adequate teacher-training programs; to
sponsor conferences and meetings; and to promote mutual
understanding, cooperation, and cooperative work among
educators in the elementary grades, junior high, high
school, special areas, higher education, and leadership
positions.
