SUU Orientation

 Transfer & Adult Learner Orientation

As a transfer student or adult learner, you may choose to attend either a Traditional Orientation program which is a day-long (or overnight) program including a group advising session, workshops, campus tours, and traditions.  You may also choose a Transfer and Adult Learner Express Orientation, which lasts no longer than three hours and includes information on financial aid, campus resources, the EDGE program, and academic advising.

Transfer students are defined as any student that has taken a college course after finishing high school.  We encourage transfer students with less than 24 transfer credits to attend our Traditional Orientation Program. If you have over 24 credits, you are welcome to attend our Transfer and Adult Learner Orientation.

Adult learners are considered to be any SUU student who is over the age of 25, is married, or has children.  SUU's adult learner (or non-traditional) student population grows every year and we are dedicated to serving this population.
As a student who has already attended another institution or has taken a few years off after high school, we understand that your experience is unique and we respect the knowledge that you bring to SUU.  Although you may have already been enrolled in college, orientation at SUU is a key part of your T-Bird journey and a proven way to enhance student success.

Students do not pay a fee to attend this program.
