Future Students

Overview

The Intent-to-Commit agreement is a new opportunity for transfer students with 24 or more credits that intend to transfer to Southern Utah University. Some of the benefits of committing early include:

  • Guaranteed transfer of all college-level credits (from all regionally accredited public institutions)
  • Application fee waiver (normally $40)
  • Access to SUU academic advising
  • Eligibility for SUU’s most generous transfer scholarships
  • Peace of mind

In order for you to enroll in the Intent-to-Commit agreement, you must pay the $100 commitment fee. The commitment fee is paid by all incoming freshman and transfer students. Historically this fee has been added to the semester bill for SUU students, but now it serves the purpose of knowing how many students plan to enroll each semester and it covers the cost of services that SUU offers. The deadlines for the Intent-to-Commit agreement are:

  • March 1st - Fall Semester

Steps to enroll in the Intent-to-Commit agreement:

  1. Apply online. Please make sure to select “Pay Later” when prompted to pay the application fee.
  2. Complete the application process by submitting ALL transcripts from previously attended institutions.
  3. Fill out the Intent to Commit Agreement Form
  4. Pay the Commitment Fee by logging into My SUU Portal. In order to login to your portal you must Activate Your Account. Once you login, you can pay the commitment fee by selecting “Student Billing System” on the right side of the screen.
